1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern all services provided by Linter Decs. By requesting a quote or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms.

2. Quotations

All quotations are provided free of charge and are valid for 30 days from the date issued. 

Quotes are based on the information provided at the time. Any additional work or changes may result in revised costs. 

Prices include labour and materials unless stated otherwise. 

3. Booking & Acceptance

A booking is confirmed once the client accepts the quotation (written or verbal). 

Linter Decs reserves the right to request a deposit before commencing work. 

The client agrees to provide access to the property on agreed dates. 

4. Payment Terms

Payment terms will be specified in the quotation. 

Unless otherwise agreed: 

A deposit may be required upfront. 

The remaining balance is due upon completion of the work. 

Late payments may incur additional charges or interest. 

5. Scope of Work

Work will be carried out as detailed in the quotation. 

Any additional work requested after commencement will be treated as a variation and charged accordingly. 

Linter Decs will take reasonable care to protect furniture and flooring, but clients should remove valuables and fragile items before work begins. 

6. Materials

Materials supplied by Linter Decs will be of good quality and suitable for the job.

If the client supplies materials, Linter Decs cannot guarantee their performance or suitability. 

7. Preparation & Conditions

Surfaces must be in a suitable condition for painting or decorating. 

Any unforeseen issues (e.g., damp, structural defects) may require additional work and cost. 

Adequate ventilation, lighting, and electricity must be provided by the client. 

8. Timeframes

Estimated start and completion dates are provided in good faith but are subject to change due to: 

Weather conditions 

Delays in materials 

Unforeseen circumstances 

9. Cancellations

Clients must provide at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule work. 

Deposits may be non-refundable if cancellation occurs at short notice. 

Linter Decs reserves the right to cancel or reschedule due to unforeseen circumstances. 

10. Liability

Linter Decs will carry out all work with reasonable skill and care. 

We are not liable for: 

Pre-existing damage 

Normal wear and tear 

Issues arising from client-supplied materials 

Liability is limited to the value of the work carried out. 

11. Insurance

Linter Decs maintains appropriate public liability insurance. Proof can be provided upon request. 

12. Complaints

Any concerns must be raised within 7 days of completion. 

We will aim to resolve issues promptly and fairly. 

13. Warranty

Workmanship is guaranteed for a reasonable period (typically 6–12 months depending on the job). 

The guarantee does not cover damage caused by external factors or misuse. 

14. Health & Safety

Linter Decs complies with all relevant UK health and safety regulations. 

Clients must ensure the work area is safe and accessible. 

15. Privacy

Any personal information provided will be used solely for the purpose of delivering services and will not be shared with third parties without consent. 

16. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
